North London Street Dance Academy began with just a handful of students and one weekly session. It has slowly grown in to one of the leading organisations and the place to go for authentic street dance classes in North London.
Now comprising of over 100 students, NLSDA is the perfect place for those of you that are passionate about street dance.
With a fantastic team of highly qualified teachers NLSDA are guaranteed to improve your dancing skills, build on strength and fitness, increase confidence, and provide a fun atmosphere where students can build new, fabulous friendships.
How it started
NLSDA is run by Nichola Brown who is the managing and creative director, as well as a dance teacher and choreographer. After several years of dancing professionally, Nichola Brown was invited to start work with North London Street Dance Academy (NLSDA; then called EN2KREW) as their regular dance teacher.
She assumed responsibility for all the Enfield based classes and became lead choreographer for the performing group. She also taught on behalf of NLSDA in primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities across North London.
In 2012, she was appointed Assistant Manager and Creative Director of the academy, and in 2015, I took over as owner and Managing Director of NLSDA.
The vision from here was to create a revered London dance academy, drawing upon Nichola’s first-hand knowledge and experiences in the dance industry and taking on board all she learnt from her mentors and those that have inspired her along the way.

We are passionate about what we do here at NLSDA. We take time to find those special teachers and assistants that live and breath dance and those teachers strive to bring that exact same passion out in the students we teach.

Our students and their families mean the world to us. We will always go above and beyond for our wonderful members. We have members that have been with us for over ten years , and that speaks volumes, we wouldn’t have such a unique & wonderful business without them.
